Here Be Dragons - From Lizards to Legends
Debut Fall 2022-Winter 2023 at River Legacy Science Center, Arlington, Texas
Our partners at River Legacy have wanted to host Here Be Dragons since working with us on the Art and Science of Arachnids.
Here Be Dragons was too large and too tall to fit in their gallery space. Working together, we have completely redesigned and transformed Here Be Dragons into the "fun-sized" Here Be Dragons: From Lizards to Legends exhibit.
Here Be Dragons: From Lizards to Legends is an abbreviated version of the original Here Be Dragons exhibit.
The thematic elements are not as tall, so fit in shorter ceiling galleries.
Some of the bulkier components are not utilized. The live dragons (lizards) are housed in one structure.
The "Dragon Explorers Dino Dig Pit" has been updated and made ADA accessible.
The "How Do You Measure Up" is updated and includes a life-sized model of a Komodo Dragon.
More visual theming has been incorporated in the form of Asian dragon kites and parade costumes.
